Thank you to everyone who participated in and attended the Cookies With Santa Event.  It was so much fun to see the children interact with Santa, Mrs. Claus and the Elves.  We are collecting photos from the event to post here.

Thank you to everyone who has participated in the Adopt-A-Tree program in Castlegate.  So far 29 new trees have been planted by residents in the community.  There are still trees to adopt.   Any interested resident will receive a free tree or shrub (while supplies last) to plant along the walking trail, in an HOA owned common area, or other location where it will beautify our community.  These are all native and/or drought hardy trees and shrubs (in 1-3 gallon pots) that will be low maintenance once established but may need to be watered a couple times a month for the first few years during dry spells. If you are interested in participating please email: adopt.a.castlegate.tree@gmail.com and someone will contact you with more details.

The City of College Station sent out the following traffic alert on Tuesday, October 26th, concerning the Greens Prairie Road widening project -

  • Beginning ThursdayCastlegate Drive will be closed at Greens Prairie Road for 3-4 weeks.

Howdy Castlegate neighbors!

This past summer our community lost a lot of trees and other plants due to the drought.

To help restore vegetation in these natural areas, the HOA is starting a new "Adopt-a-Tree" program.

If you are interested in participating, please email: [email protected] and someone will contact you with more details. Thank you!

Greens Prairie Road Construction Map 10-5-22

The first day of school for CSISD is Wednesday, August 17th.  Due to the road expansion construction on Greens Prairie Road, the City of College Station posted a map of the school traffic area for everyone traveling on Greens Prairie Road near Forest Ridge Elementary School.  For parents of Forest Ridge Elementary students, the map shows the drop off and pick up access. School traffic into the parent drop-off driveway will be allowed from each direction, but traffic out of the school is only to the right .
You may want to consider an alternate route to avoid the traffic congestion during the first week or so of school.  For those that do use this area, please slow down, use extra caution and expect delays.
