Community Clean Up 2012
Thank you! to all that help make our Spring Clean Up a success.
Over 50 volunteers participated in the February 28 Castlegate Community Clean-Up. Many were parents of members of Cub Scout pack 60 and of the Brownies of Girl Scout troop 9053. We thank all of you.
We filled over 40 contractor size trash bags and picked up large amounts of construction debris and discarded carpet. 3 of our volunteers tackled the especially difficult drainage ditch from the back lake on Victoria.
We had several great sponsors: ABC Home and Commercial Services, Cortiers Real Estate, Greener Images Landscaping, H-E-B Tower Point and Kroger Family Center.
Please help make next year’s job easier by encouraging others to dispose of their trash responsibly throughout the year.

Scout Food Drive 2012
Saturday January 28, our Scouts will pass out door hangers throughout our neighborhood, describing the need and announcing the food collection the following week.
Saturday February 4, The scouts will be by to collect the food between 9-11 a.m. Donations can be left in a bag on the front porch. The food collected will be delivered to food pantries within the Brazos Valley.

Community Clean Up 2011
The Castlegate Spring Clean-Up event is scheduled for Saturday February 25, 2012 from 9:00-11:00 AM. It will be a great opportunity to prepare our community for Spring.
Please meet at the pavilion in the park on Castlegate Drive, adjacent to Rockingham Loop. We will have a supply of bags, bottled water and gloves available for volunteers. If you have your own trash pickup tools, please bring them.
Cub Scout Pack 60 has volunteered their time and with your help, we can have the whole community looking great by 11:00 AM...provided we have a good turn out!
If you want to help, but you are unable to volunteer during these times, please contact Art Langrish at ARTLATHOME@YAHOO.COM to select a project, which your family can tackle at a more convenient time.

Easter Egg Hunt 2010
Thank you for making the annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 27, 2010, a
huge success!
Over 400 residents and children attended and lots of fun was had as the
children raced to get their Easter eggs filled with goodies, have their
faces painted and balloons made, and the special visit by the Easter
Bunny!
Special thanks to the College Station Fire Department and College
Station Police Department support. The firefighters and police officers
were fantastic as they proudly showed how the fire trucks and police car
work to the children. Thanks to the Brazos County Waste Management
staff for sharing all those great recycling tips, recycled water bottles
and re-useable bags that are great to keep in the car!

Fall Festival 2009
Wanted to send a Thank you to all who attended the Fall Festival this past Saturday. We hope you and your family enjoyed the activities. Our thanks to Greener Images for providing all the pumpkins and potted mums that we raffled off. Thank you Craig! We had more than 20 winners. Congratulations Winners!
We also need to extend a special thank you to the chair people who pulled it all together and made this event a success, Krystal Broussard and Vicki Hillert. Their hard work and dedication helps to make our community outstanding. We would also like to extend our thanks to our neighbors who stepped in and gave of their time and service: Rachelle Dudley, Leslie Woods, Judy Marrs and Teresa Krause and on the cooking crew Greg and Jamie Boyd, Don Kohring and Barbara Von Blankensee. An event like this would not be possible unless we had help from the community. We also owe a huge thank you to the Bengal Belles from A&M Consolidated, who volunteered their Saturday afternoon. They really helped run all the games and monitored the bounce room and slide. And to our police officers that stopped by, your dedication makes our neighborhood and our city a nice place to live.
